Making graveyard shows the civilization and values of Chinese very well Chinese civilization has placed the fundamental of society, culture, and tradition which make Chinese people prosperous with big business, no matter where they go in this world.
Graveyard is the place where the ancestors who pass away and descendants get together to reflect the importance of the main institution of the society, which is family. The principle of life of Chinese people is to be hard working for the descendant. They exert themselves to give the descendant the good life. Having graveyard is the representation of love from the ancestors and make the descendant think back to the effort of the ancestor. Therefore, Chinese descendant are hard working to match the effort give by their ancestors and to maintain wealth of the family like the Chinese principle that, “To be proud when meeting with the ancestor”.
In the present time, this idea is ignored, together with the graveyard. Chinese descendant todays live their life recklessly. They are not hardworking, economize and patient like people in the past. Not surprisingly, there are only few family that can maintain the wealth with the culture of making graveyard.
